Welcome to the up date on the progress of this particular extension in progress in Southend-on-Sea Essex. Started at the roof we extended the original front elevation by (half metres we second-hand reclaim tiles from our local supplier is kept matching with existing and complimented the extension if you take a look the roof you will see the new roof windows that we installed to let natural light into the new loft recently extended by us.

We carried on with the rendering to the front and the rear of the property with matching Windows to complement the build underneath the car Port we installed passive infrared security lighting these will turn on at night with dust to Dawn sensors along the large flank wall we have built extension in a nice rustic brick to complement the build to segregate the boundaries we have built and installed a small little boundary wall to the right-hand side the buildings you can see in the picture on each peer contains a little inserted wall lights fully weatherproof and installed by us the benefit of this it would light up the small driveway on approach.we think regular grievous this is a fantastic extension with the benefit of two bedrooms a shower room combined taller the breakthrough was the existing staircase behind the wall to reach this level when we opened it up onto the new extension.

This picture was recently taken off a project in Southend-on-Sea Essex as you can clearly see in the picture we are installing the new supporting floor joists at joists level.

The timber construction of the joists consists of 175 mm x 50 mm the timbers are laid out of 400 centres the plate which is the surrounding timber is screwed down its every 400 mm. In between the joists we will place timber noggings the reason we place phase in between the joists so that you sit structural and added strength to the floor joists. We had a great day to day because we start the removal of the roof in Shoeburyness Essex .The weather held good and we made good progress in taking down all the roof tiles.We completely loaded a six yard skip now we are ready for the next day Thursday.Will post more pictures of this very soon .Building inspector is book for this Friday cross fingers will will meet his requirementsfor Building control regulations it looks quite daunting .

To day we are going to start the pitch and cut on the extension that we have in progress in Shoeburyness Essex we will make all the roof out of mainly 100mmx500 saw timber and the plate are the same dimensions as well .We hope to have the skeleton of the roof complete and signed off by the building inspector bu this coming Friday.Once that we have done this next week we will undertake the tiling of the new roof to which will take about 3 working days .We are Essex builders if any one can john Cann

In this picture you can clearly see that we are supporting a massive steel called an RSJ.Reinforcedsteel joist .The idea of the rsj is to take the complete weight load from the house and roof once we make the opening for the wall to be removed.In the picture you can see the acros jacks and on top of the is the strong boys that just slots on to them.

When the local building inspector has seen the installation of the rsj and is completely satisfied with it he will let us remove the strong boys when the inner block work and brickwork is set.
