As you can see in this picture we as in the mist of the new drive way of a new build in Southend on Sea Essex .We shall be handing the build back to the client quite shortly .All the works from start to finish were carried out by Johns brickwork ltd and at all stages of the build overseen by the Southend on sea building inspectors and the nhbc .

In this picture you can see a footing for the conservatory that we will be fitting very soon .The conservatory will be a lean to type with a flat roof.The frame are all in whit PVC and it has a set of double doors to one side of it ,In side there Will be a wooden floor and a small radiator and 2 double sockets.We will place some small steps just in front of the doors that will take you from the conservatory to the garden .If any one can john cann

To day i started off by leaving the office to see my first customer in Southend on Sea Essex .When i arrived i knocked on the door and introduced myself and the compamy i start to measure up the drive way for the installation of the block work .Ipriced the drive way up at £70.00 per squarw meter it came to a tottal cost of around £4500 inc materails and labour .

This extension is underway in Southend on sea Essex .It is made out of breeze block along with a flat roof that will be finish in felt.The finish will be of render and weather protected from the winter.This extension is for a down stairs toilet and shower room all works are inspected by the building inspectors from Southend on Sea Essex

In this picture you can clearly see that we are supporting a massive steel called an RSJ.Reinforcedsteel joist .The idea of the rsj is to take the complete weight load from the house and roof once we make the opening for the wall to be removed.In the picture you can see the acros jacks and on top of the is the strong boys that just slots on to them.

When the local building inspector has seen the installation of the rsj and is completely satisfied with it he will let us remove the strong boys when the inner block work and brickwork is set.

Here we have a cracking little porch that was made by johns brickwork ltd in Basildon .As you can see we have installed the latest composite doors that are becoming more and more popular in Essex.We hand cut the roof and gave it new tiles as well to fully complement the build in Basildon .If any on can john cann

Here we are constructing a large build in Rainham Essex for a client the build now has just received the trusses and is ready for the roof to be tile .At johns brickwork we carry out all types of works from a small garden wall to as you can see a complete build all works are over seen by the building inspectors and the inspector of the nhbc

In this picture you can see that we have constructed a base called a raft.The raft is 3×3 x 300 mm deep in side the raft there is a toe of around 500mm to all the outside edges .A raft is completelydifferent than a strip footing but has the benefit of allowing more movement .This work is in progress in Rainham Essex

Here at johns brickwork we undertake all ground works inc piling in this clips you can clearly see our machine boring one of 5 bore that will go down 20 meters .This work was carried out in Rainham Essex the bore are 300mm  from the sides and 300mm in from the out side measurements of the brick line.

This type of works is highly specialised and has been over seen by the local building inspector of the area

To day we install four  very large rsj that are made to take a large weight of the build we will place the picture on the blog latter this week.In the afternoon the local building inspector from the southend on sea bough council came to inspect the works carried out by us and they were completely happy we are a specialist builder in a specialist  industry .
